About
Mission, Vision, and Values
Mission
Welcome every student with the opportunity to contribute to our community through participation in productions and special events, building real-world skills in the process.
Vision
Recognize the importance of high school students belonging to a community that values their individuality and nurtures their unique talents and interests.
VALUES
To build and maintain a strong sense of community and collective effort,
Titan Theatre requires that all students be...
Compassionate; always be kind and caring towards your fellow cast and crew.
Collaborative; be willing to work with others because everything is a group effort in theater.
Conscientious; be responsible for thoroughly fulfilling your role, and remain accountable for your work, words, and actions, onstage and off.
Curious; be willing to learn, driven to continue learning, and realize that you always can learn more.
Coachable; in combination with curiosity, be open to taking direction to try new things in new ways.
Committed; to successfully get a show from auditions to opening (and closing) night, all students involved need to commit to the entirety of the production.
Faculty and Families will support students by encouraging and modeling all of the above values.

& Blankslate Director
John Maier has spent the last fourteen years teaching Art in Loudoun County. He spent his first ten years teaching Art at Sugarland Elementary to students in all grade levels. Mr. Maier transferred to Seneca Ridge Middle School in 2020, where he teaches 6th & 7th grade Art while also teaching a Yearbook class and sponsoring the Yearbook club.
Mr. Maier became the Director of Blankslate in 2023, and beginning in 2024, he will be Titan Theatre’s Artistic Director.
Fun Fact #1: Mr. and Mrs. Maier attended Broad Run High School, where they met and worked together on various BRHS Drama productions from 1994 to 1996.
Fun fact #2: After graduating in 1996, Mr. Maier joined Sterling Playmakers for their first show (ever!) and was the first Sterling Playmaker to ever take the stage in Vampiremania.
Mr. Maier is excited to take on this larger role within Titan Theatre, bringing his visual arts expertise and creativity to the Titan Theatre stage, and he always appreciates the opportunity to reconnect with former students.
Dana Maier - Theatre Director
Dana Maier switched careers to become a teacher in 2014, and she’s worked for LCPS ever since. Prior to her teaching career, Ms. Maier earned an B.S. in Theatre from Radford University and an MFA in Theatrical Scene Design from The University of Alabama. She spent a brief period of time freelancing as a theatrical scenic artist and designer around the D.C. area before joining the corporate world, where she spent ten years working as an architectural draftsman. While occupying her corporate gig, Ms. Maier joined the adjunct faculty of George Mason University, intermittently teaching theater courses and designing scenery for GMU’s School of Theatre.
Ms. Maier has spent the last decade exclusively teaching English; six of those years were spent at Freedom High School before she transferred to Dominion in 2020. Since 2022, Ms. Maier has been the technical director of Titan Theatre, a role that rekindled her passion for theater. Heading into the 2024-25 school year, Ms. Maier is excited to teach theater courses and take on the role of Director. She’s especially excited to get to work so closely with her husband of 20 years, John Maier, and their son, Clark, a DHS sophomore; their eldest, Delia, is embarking on their first year of college at The University of Mary Washington.
